When I saw the thumbnail on VFXY I thought the area around the tables was masked out :)

It caught my attention because of the title 'contrast' really. We currently have a photography class assignment on that topic. Quite a tough one of you ask me.

Anyway, I clicked through and saw the full image and I was really impressed that it was in fact snow. Contrast indeed.

It's a pitty though that there's quite a bit of JPG artifacts in the image (especially in the snow around the base of the tables), but I guess that's a compromise you have to make when publishing photos on the web.

Nice work!

Cheezes this is a good picture. As Thomas suggests, it would have been nice if you could have shot this on a tripod with a long exposure, but we thake the images we can with the equipment at hand. This has a disembodied, semi-abstract feeling, like dish antennas in space.

BYW, thanks for your comment today. When I can find time (busy week!) I'll send you a note with some Lensbaby suggestions. If you don't hear from me about this in a few days, please remind me.
