Beyond the Clouds | Permalink

I really don't know how many airplanes fly over Cleveland sky, but I noticed at least 1 plane every 5 minutes. That is very busy sky I might say.

Superb. The clouds make the picture much more interesting and mysterious. We are flyover country, too. A few weeks ago, I was standing at one of our office windows with my camera and telephoto lens. There was a plane crossing the sky on a cloudless day. I zoomed all the way out and took a few pictures. When I blew it up, I saw that it was a Qantas flight, the Australian airline. Certainly unexpected here. It was probably flying from LA to New York
.

By the way, what lens did you use for this shot?

I wondered that too. We're on a flight path going into Toronto (although 50k/30mi away). But they do seem awfully low.

As an airline employee, I love this picture.
