I have seen these two columns for as long as I remember off coast of lake Erie on side of available pier in Edgewater park. I think these two bases of columns for extending pier in the future in this park. It looks forsaken or deserted for two of them in the lake by themselves all years.

It looks like whatever was once there is long gone. Perhaps a fire.

What a fascinating photograph. Have they ever been used do you suppose? I imagine boats on the lake have to be careful not to bash into these lumps of concrete?
They look like they once were useful but now are simply left to do nothing. A picture of retirement maybe?
