The Goodyear blimp has changed since I was a kid, but its the first one I remember. Nice shot.
I LOVE blimps. They are so retro, so cartoonish, so impractical. It makes me think of everything from the Hindenberg to Captain Beefheart's song "The Blimp," a sublime, mad, rock and roll-ish rant (link supplied on request). I few times a year, I see blimps outside my office window when there is some big event downtown, usually a baseball or football game. This is a great image with two corporate logos dominating the sky.
My post tomorrow morning will be on a similar theme to one of your recent ones.
I thought you's got a u.f.o in the portal. Haven't seen a blimp for years. Used to see them all the time in the UK, especially where I was from. all to do woth the car industry.
It's a superb photo of a balst form the past.
It's good to see the blimp. They used tie them up just south of us when they came to Toronto. I think it was for the Molson Indy.
i nearly had a car accident the last time a saw a blimp.
i experience a safer way now that i can enjoy a beautiful shot like this.
