But, as you observed, it really is interesting. The image has a soaring sense of motion. The column reminds me of a rocket.
This echoes my post the other day about the things we don't see in our towns. It's a monster of a shot, just awesome the way youv'e got the low shot in, with the column towering down. Sublime.
The angle of this shot, and the starkness of black and white convey tremendous power. What behemoth is this column holding up?
