Struggling Business | Permalink

Along Euclid Avenue from downtown Cleveland to University Circle in midtown is under construction with nearly $200 million project to spur development along this area used to known as Millionaire's Row. With the construction for almost 3 years now in roadwork, many small businesses along this street struggling to survive due to less people coming to this area. Shops and restaurants loss about 50 percent to 80 percent and some are out of business because of the ongoing street construction. The city hope this roadwork project will complete next year on time.

I have seen these two columns for as long as I remember off coast of lake Erie on side of available pier in Edgewater park. I think these two bases of columns for extending pier in the future in this park. It looks forsaken or deserted for two of them in the lake by themselves all years.

I have been meaning to take picture of these huge chains in Voinovich Park right behind of Rock 'n Roll of Fame. And I took this picture before went to Browns Stadium for opening preaseason game between Browns and Chiefs - Kansas City yesterday. When you are walking in this park, you'll see these huge chain railing around this park, and I notice the city only uses this kind huge chain only in this park.

Galleria mall at Erieview is where some of downtown workers go for their lunch. The Galleria mall have indoor and outdoor tables for its food court. The Galleria located in the middle of downtown just walk away distance from most office buildings around downtown Cleveland.

Morning storm in part of Northeast Ohio yesterday about 2 inches rain in just one hour and flooding resulted. In some part of downtown in Justice Center underground parking garage, Cleveland Metropark Zoo, Martin Luther King Boulevard and some underpasses were flood with couple cars trapped and submerged in the water. From news last night show resident in apartment in city of Parma were evacuated due to flood from this torrential rain yesterday.

Sometimes we just realized that park is place to have good communication. No interruption from daily gadgets, no screaming kids, other partner cannot run to bathroom and lock the door, she or he can make scene anyway they like, no other around them will bother. And least but not last have a good view and nice weather.

We had raining all day from morning through afternoon this Sunday. It just such relieved from hot sticky day for past few days in Cleveland. And I am too lazy to go out in this weather, so I took this shot from parking lot in downtown Cleveland.

We had very nasty thunderstorm this afternoon. I was driving when the weather became nasty. I saw a lot people in Route 2 stopped under bridges or on the side road of highway. With body waters in road, and about 12 feet clear-view from the windshield, I do agree it was bad idea to drive. When I got home, I took this shot.

August Theme Day - Typical Breakfast | Permalink

This gents had only a coffee and newspaper for breakfast. When he finished his coffee then he read his newspaper. And exactly before 8 AM he left for work or wherever. I took this picture in diner where I used to go to have my breakfast which is scramble eggs, bacon and home fries with coffee. Location: Shay's Diner in St. Clair Ave. and E.40 St.
