Day on Beach | Permalink

The weather soared up to 90F, hot and humid. I went to lake Erie to cool down from the heat.

Oh, the cool water.... It has been so hot here, and only in the past few days we are getting some kind of relief.

Nice photo.

Hot, humid Ohio. I remember it well. When I was about 5, our family spent a few days at Cedar Point. My older brother and I were wading and he kept going out further and of course I followed. After a while he decided to reverse course and return. He warned me not to follow as it was actually getting deeper, but I did. We both sort of stepped into a hole, water over our heads, and we only knew how to dog paddle. Our Dad was watching and quickly ran out and rescued us. I remember going under and looking up at the top of the water. It was kind of scary, but over quickly. This photo brought that memory to mind. And it's actually a good, a very fond memory of my Dad so many years ago.

More very good work. Placing the horizon at the center makes it look like a flag to me. The two people are so tiny and the water so vast. They could be in danger.

What an excellent use of dead center composition. You need the sky to compliment the vastness of the water. I can almost feel the breeze coming off the lake.

Where was this taken? Wildwood has breakwaters on its beach.

I am far from here. Good, Bad or worst is how you want it. Presentable. Keep it up.

The summer sun ray
shifts through a suspicious tree.
though I walk through the valley of the shadow
It sucks the air
and looks around for me.

The grass speaks.
I hear green chanting all day.
I will fear no evil, fear no evil
The blades extend
and reach my way.

The sky breaks.
It sags and breathes upon my face.
In the presence of mine enemies, mine enemies
The world is full of enemies.
There is no safe place.
